Scott & Josh

Back in Aug I had the pleasure of presiding over the wedding of Josh & Scott! One of the brilliant side effects of doing this Married By Jane officiant thing is the new “family members” I gain. I’ve fallen in love with each and every couple I’ve wed, so my circle of beloved ones just keeps growing.

Thank you everyone who has placed their trust in me for their special day!

We are excited to announce the formation of a new San Francisco-based theatrical production company: ROBOTIK PASSIONS PRODUCTIONS.

Our first live production is a sci-fi musical, written by multi-platinum, award-winning songwriter JANE WIEDLIN. Filled with infectious pop/rock songs, this musical is the ultimate homage to vintage science fiction: it’s sexy, kitschy, and full of heart! The book and music are written, and we’re now looking for financial backers and a theater to call home.

We are in the process of casting our two lead players, Kate and Jasper.

KATE is a female rocker in her thirties, small, very pretty, pixie-ish, with a lot of sass and charisma. Singing ability is a MUST, a bit of dancing talent a PLUS, and the ability to play guitar would be great!

JASPER is a male rocker, in his thirties, slender, cheeky grin, strong, sardonic, with a smoldering heat below the surface. Think a young George Harrison. Singing ability is A MUST, a bit of dancing talent a PLUS, and ability to play at least rudimentary guitar (or ability to REALLY fake it!).

Casting will run from Feb.17, 2014 to Feb. 25, 2014.

This is not a fully paid gig YET (there will be a stipend), and the time commitment will be fairly minimal this year, but we will be performing a mini preview show (under 15 minutes) in May of 2014 and our first six week run will take place in March 2015. Leads must be able to commit to the show February, March, and April of 2015.

Please contact producer Danny Tatosian at for more info, to submit your headshot/resume, or to get involved.

Project Nunway

Project Nunway is a fashion fundraiser where Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence are paired with designers to create looks made from recycled or repurposed materials.

Neil McGarry and Daniel Ravipinto

This weekend, local author Neil McGarry and his partner Daniel Ravipinto were married in Delaware after 10 years together. Here, McGarry shares a few words about his special day:

Daniel Ravipinto and I were married in Woodshaven Kruse Park in Claymont, Del., on Sat., Oct. 12, at 11 a.m., by none other than Go-Go’s guitarist and songwriter Jane Wiedlin. We then high-tailed it back to the William Way Community Center to party. Said party included Ms. Wiedlin performing such hits as “Our Lips Are Sealed,” “Vacation” and a great cover of the Beach Boys’ song, “God Only Knows.”

If you’d like Jane to officiate your wedding visit for more information.

Jane and Love Charisse

Charisse is a new artist who just finished recording her album in Jane’s studio, with her beau Travis Kasperbauer as producer.  Jane co-wrote a song for the record with Charisse and they sang it as a duet.  The song is called “At The End”.
Jane says “Charisse is the most talented young artist I have EVER worked with, and I think people are going to love her and her music.”

Three’s Company, the run-away hit sitcom starring John Ritter, Suzanne Somers and Joyce DeWitt, changed the airwaves forever with their racy subject matter, sexual innuendos and over-the-top physical comedy.

Now you can witness two of the early and beloved episodes live, starring Mike Finn, D’Arcy Drollinger, Laurie Bushman and Jane Wiedlin of The Go-Go’s. With Matthew Martin and Sara Moore as the Ropers.  Directed by Cindy Goldfield.  Tickets and information are available HERE.

Update from Jane!

Well, 2012 was quite a year wasn’t it? I was lucky enough to get to do quite a few shows with my beloved Go-Go’s. Touring is tiring but is also about the most fun a person can have…legally. haha.

It makes me so happy that people still come out to see us and still have such a good time. The band even sold out the Hollywood Bowl, 30 years AFTER we sold it out the first time! Wow!

I performed some wonderful marriage ceremonies. I love officiating weddings; I always end up making new friends with the greatest people! Visit Married by Jane for more info.

I bought a fixer-upper cabin in Mendocino County, about the prettiest place on Earth, and spent 8 months remodeling it. I am an obsessed amateur decorator, and love nothing better than fixing up houses. (That’s why I move house every couple of years!) Anyway, it is so so great to have our lovely little San Francisco house and now an incredible weekend country cottage to visit. I feel truly blessed.

Some of you may remember that my big sister Meg has been living with us in our place in San Francisco. Well she fell in love in 2012 and in December moved in with her new boyfriend! I’m so happy for her, but I really miss having her with us at home.

One of my darling furkids, Angus, passed away. It was heartbreaking. He was only six years old and I miss him every day. My other three dogs Geordie, Peanut and Malcolm are doing fine and the house is much quieter with just 3 dogs.

I spent Thanksgiving in JAPAN with my boyfriend Travis and friend Xander. We had THE BEST TIME! Xander is a real Japanophile and showed us some truly amazing places. We had fun in Tokyo but it wasn’t till we explored the countryside that I realized what a truly diverse and beautiful country Japan is.

In January of 2012 I performed as Janet Wood in a live stage show of the 70’s sitcom Three’s Company. That went so well that we are doing it again in 2013 in January and February. San Francisco is a great city for small theater and I’m really enjoying being part of that kooky community. You can get tickets for the show HERE.

For my birthday, Travis took me up in a small plane and we flew to our cabin, getting to see the land from above. Then on the flight back we flew over the Golden Gate Bridge, which was having a mad fireworks display to celebrate its 75th Anniversary. That’s a cool thing to see: fireworks from ABOVE!

The movie I acted in and was music supervisor on: Doggie B (also known as Doggie Boogie) was released and is doing well. If you have kids you should check it out; you can rent it from Redbox and On Demand.

Giants won the World Series and the whole city went crazy!!! EVEN ME!!!! haha

EXCITING NEWS! We just opened a new section of my official online shop at called Jane’s Closet where we will be selling clothing and accessories worn by moi. New stuff will be added every week and you may recognize some of the stuff from stage or TV. Lots of cute things to collect or wear! And a portion of the proceeds will go to my favorite cause, animal rescue. Thanks in advance for checking it out!

There was too much sadness and violence in the world in 2012. I hope in 2013 we can move towards a more evolved way of being.

I wish you all health and happiness.
